Our introductory trainings are helpful for people and organizations who are beginning their access journey. It can overwhleming to know where to start. We are here to help you and your organization build a foundation of inclusion and access. We will share useful information, create a space for reflection, and introduce actionable steps you can implement to increase accessibility right now.

Disability Awareness & Ableism

This workshop is a broad overview of increasing access for your organization or community. We will discuss types of access as well as definitions and language. Participants will come away with ideas for how to start making access improvements. In this training, we will cover:

  • Models of disability
  • Definitions of key terms
  • Inclusive Language
  • How to Use Access Symbols

Art Making

Make art and connect with your team. Build social and emotional skills through team building art activities. Most of our workshops involve art making, but this workshop focuses on creating art.  It offers an open studio style, intentional prompts, and inclusive practices.

Accessible Education Programming

This workshop explores access practices for educators. Participants will explore: 

  • Universal Design for Learning
  • The CASEL Framework for Social & Emotional Learning

We will discuss ways to create supportive environments for educators and their students. Participants will come away with tools to meet students where they are in a variety of settings.
